Hey Sharks fans, your local Wild writer stopping by with some news for you from Defending the Blue Line. Disclaimer, I work for DTBL, so this is a bit of shameless promotion, but it is meant to help out the kids in the Bay area, so I hope I get a pass. Brent Burns, Gong Show Hockey, Sharks Ice and Cathy's Power Skating are teaming up to collect used hockey equipment to benefit Burnzie's Battalion and Defending the Blue Line. The gear drive runs December 19th - January 2nd. Drop off sites: Sharks Ice at San Jose 1500 S. Tenth St. San Jose, CA 95112 Sharks Ice at Fremont 44388 Old Warm Springs Blvd. Fremont, CA 94538 Oakland Ice Center 519 18th St. Oakland, CA 94612 Thank you for anything you can donate. Everything goes directly to military kids to help keep their dreams of hockey alive.
What's up Fin City fans, this is Tony.psd from SB Nations neighboring site: Golden State of Mind. I recently moved back to San Jose last week (lost our home to foreclosure, but it's good to be back!) and I wanted to share 2 new shirt designs from my collection, commemorating our return home with some "Sharks" inspired flavor. "Beast Mode SJ" gives tribute to San Jose's teal and grey. It's such a fun phrase, when I did the design it was inspired by that old Altered Beast video game by Sega. "Sharks" is basically your "favorite NHL hockey team with a 49ers twist…" I saw it as a fun concept flipping the old Niners letterhead and passing it on to the sharks with no references to hockey or the NHL, lol. Both designs are available at my on-line store. "Beast Mode SJ" is ready to ship while "Sharks" will be released next Friday, October 14th. Both are available in men's sizes.
