... in this case, "that" being an overview of the season plus discussion as to what this team needs to do in order to break a now three-year long routine of two and through, a brief glance at the conference finals (Game Six thoughts ASAP):

Detroit vs. Dallas: Yeah, good luck with that, Stars.  Let us know how it works out for you.  By the time this series is done, Sharks fans might be rather relieved their team didn't make the next round.
Predicted winner: Detroit

Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia: As opposed to the seemingly mandatory whistle-swallowing come playoff time, there's no way the NHL will let the Flyers goon up on Sidney Crosby and company.  Not that they need a whole lot of help anyway.
Predicted winner: Pittsburgh

  • I think the Sharks team that played in March 08.. (none / 0)

    ...would have put on a great show against the Red Wings.  I am not really sure where that team went during the playoffs, but let's face it; the way the Sharks played against the Flames & then the Stars, there was little chance of taking down Detroit.  I felt frustrated with the Sharks in these playoffs (as I think a lot of you guys did), because I know they are a better team than the way they played.

    I wish I could have seen the Sharks from March '08 play in these playoffs...

      I didn't follow as closely as I should have, being in exile down in LA, but when we went down 3-0, I thought in my head "we definitely have it in us to win four straight, we've done it before during the season."

      Where that team went, I don't know.  It seems like the same sad story every playoffs.  Perhaps I cursed the Sharks by buying Conference Finals tickets before they even made it and I got stuck watching the Ducks play (but thankfully, got to watch Jeff Friesen... and managed to get into a box for the third period so it evened out.)

      I want to see Pittsburgh in the finals, and most likely up against Detroit (ugh that hurt to type.)  Sidney Crosby does the most for hockey publicity right now, and I'd like to see him win, instead of "oh Detroit won another Stanley Cup..."

      In love with Jeff Friesen still.
