Sharks vs. Avalanche preview: The McGinn Bowl

New, comments

Former Shark Jamie McGinn will take on brother and current Shark Tye McGinn as the Sharks make their lone trip to Denver of the season.

Doug Pensinger

Coming off their most impressive performance of the season, the Sharks head to Denver in search of their first win at the Pepsi Center in nearly three years. It'll also be their first game against Brad Stuart since the early July trade that sent the former San Jose defenseman to Colorado for a second-round pick. Antti Niemi will be between the pipes tonight, the second time he's started consecutive games so far this season, for what many (okay, just me) are referring to as The McGinn Bowl with brothers Jamie and Tye set to face each other for the first time in their NHL careers.
