Coming hot on the heels of my jersey ranking post is this leak of the San Jose Sharks Heritage jerseys. The jerseys will be worn three times this season, though after getting a look at these I wish they were being used as replacements for the black alternates.
That screenshot was grabbed by Icethetics and shows off the teal strip with grey stripes. I can't get my hands on my No. 13 Raffi Torres sweater soon enough. What do you think?
It seems I'm not alone on the Heritage Jersey bandwagon. Here's some of the social reaction.
@fearthefin couldn't agree more. Absolutely love them— Mondo (@iBleed_Teal) September 9, 2015
@fearthefin YESSSSSSSS im gonna cry. so beautiful— Robb Snark (@strobone) September 9, 2015
If that was indeed the #Sharks' heritage jersey, Marleau is the only active player to ever wear the original, half of his lifetime ago. wow.— Matthew Ferry (@MathyouFSA) September 9, 2015
Here are the list of games the Sharks will wear these beauties in.
Nov. 3 vs. Columbus Blue Jackets
Dec. 1 vs. Pittsburgh Penguins
Jan. 18 vs. Ottawa Senators
Fear the Fin's favorite beat writer thinks the jerseys will be officially released on Saturday.
Also, expect Heritage jersey to be revealed on Saturday. For some reason, team is only wearing it 3 times (while keeping black ones…ugh).— Kevin Kurz (@KKurzCSN) September 9, 2015
Aaaaaand here's hoping that the team will decide to throw these things on a few more times this season. Or in the playoffs...perhaps.
