2016 Stanley Cup Final, Game 1 Preview: Sharks to play in first ever Final game
We've been waiting a long time for this.
Lots of emotions accompany Monday, May 30, 2016. I hope excitement ranks chief among them for the majority of you as this is a historic day in San Jose Sharks history. For the first time ever, the Sharks will play in a Stanley Cup Final contest starting at 5 p.m. in Pittsburgh.
Regardless of the result of tonight's game, or the series as a whole, this has been the best postseason in Sharks history and hopefully that's not lost among the nerves that will certainly accompany tonight's game. If it's any consolation, the Sharks don't seem to be particularly nervous about tonight's game as the team cracked jokes and was in good spirits during Sunday's media day.
So grab your Sharks jersey and beverage of choice. This one's going to be fun.

This is not a game that Martin Jones remembers fondly. The Penguins scored on Jones four times and once on the empty net to win 5-1.
Storylines
- Well the Sharks are playing in their first ever Stanley Cup Final, which seems pretty notable.
- Both teams won the last two games of their respective series, so someone's winning streak will come to an end.
- San Jose managed to split the first two road games in St. Louis and it'll be important for the Sharks to get one on the road in this series as well.
