After a month of waiting, Timo Meier will finally make his professional debut with the San Jose Barracuda on Friday night. The ‘Cuda host the Bakersfield Condors, the Edmonton Oilers AHL affiliate, in the team’s home opener after going 1-1 on its season opening road trip.

Meier missed a month with mononucleosis but now feels 100 percent according to sjbarracuda.com. If you weren’t already planning on getting a look at the Barracuda on Friday, this should be all the extra motivation you need.

You can get tickets to the game by heading to sjbarracuda.com/tickets — the Barracuda will be a very fun team this year and you should absolutely take advantage of the chance to see Meier early. This guy is going to be with the Sharks before too long, so go see him now before it costs $50 a seat.

Meier’s last non-exhibition action came with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. He did not participate in any preseason games with the Sharks.
