Sharks vs. Oilers: Lines, discussion thread and where to watch

One more game before Christmas.

NHL: Edmonton Oilers at San Jose Sharks Kenny Karst-USA TODAY Sports

This has turned into a weird week around the San Jose Sharks. Joel Ward is back in the lineup, but Tommy Wingels and David Schlemko are both out. That leaves the fourth line as follows: Ward - Micheal Haley - Melker Karlsson. Dylan DeMelo plays in his second game in a row in place of Schlemko. Martin Jones starts for the billionth time in a row.

No one knows what Pete DeBoer is doing, nor why he insists on tweaking with a team tied for first in the Pacific. Regardless, the Sharks can take sole possession of first if they beat the Oilers in the teams’ first meeting of the season this evening at SAP Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PT.
