The first voting update for the 2017 NHL All-Star Game is out and holds good news for Sharks fans. Brent Burns and Joe Thornton are both in the top five of voting in the Pacific Division, Burns second and Thornton fifth, for the annual game which will be held at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Jan. 29.
You can vote yourself here. Remember, this vote is only for the captain of the Pacific Division team. The NHL still selects the rest of the team. So if you want any of these standings to matter, you’ll need to get Burns or Thornton into the No. 1 spot. Now, they’ll probably both still make the team ... but just to be sure ... right.
The leaders for each division are as follows:
Atlantic
Carey Price
Metropolitan
Sidney Crosby
Central
P*trick K*ne
The skill competition will be held on Jan. 28 and the All-Star Game will be on Jan. 29.
