San Jose fell behind the Canucks 2-0 early but managed to come back on goals by Patrick Marleau and Logan Couture. An unlucky turnover in the Vancouver zone by Joe Thornton led to an odd-man rush and Hansen powered a shot past Martin Jones for the game-winning goal.
Vancouver came out with a much better start than the Sharks and capitalized as Daniel Sedin scored a minute into the contest. That 1-0 lead was padded by Bo Horvat's unassisted tally past the midway point of the opening stanza, sending the Sharks to the dressing room down 2-0.
Patrick Marleau's first goal in what feels like 10 years (it was actually only a week ago, so shows how good my memory is) brought the Sharks within one. A nice feed from Joe Thornton (I know, this is a recording) set up Patty on the power play to get San Jose close.
The Sharks didn't start out so hot in the third period, as it took them 7:55 to attempt a shot that wasn't blocked. Still, Martin Jones kept San Jose in the contest and playing the goal-starved Canucks didn't hurt matters. Logan Couture delivered the game-tying goal, catching the puck on his back-hand and then taking all the time in the world to shift it back on to his forehand before beating the out of position net-minder.
San Jose heads out for its final road trip as the Sharks take on Nashville on Saturday before heading to Minnesota on Tuesday. The game ends the Sharks two-game winning streak and ends the season series with the Canucks 3-2 in San Jose's favor. The road team won every game in the five-game series.
