Sharks vs. Kings Game 1: Pavelski gives Sharks lead with slick wraparound

The Captain gives the Sharks the lead. Will it stick?

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

The "Seventh Round Sniper" Joe Pavelski was tired of his sniping ways and decided to open up his repertoire. He beat Jonathan Quick with a wraparound that he seemingly wasn't ready for. This really seems like one of those games where the last team to score will win the game. Two goals in Game 1 isn't too bad. Sharks led 4-3 after this goal.

Only seventeen seconds into the period, no one was ready for this one. It definitely woke me up (being on the east coast is hard, okay!) and it looks like it woke up most of the players too. Daryl Sutter was not very happy with this play as the Kings are giving up an awful lot of uncharacteristic goals so far in Game 1.

Justin Braun tossed in his first assist of the series on this goal. Lots of time left, I am sure this won't be the last time I write one of these tonight.
