Vote Joe Pavelski on to the NHL 17 cover

New, comments

The captain is going head to head with Anze Kopitar.

Joe Pavelski is one of eight players up for voting to be on the cover of NHL 17, the annual EA Sports game. There will be three rounds of voting, assuming Pavelski makes it that far, and at the end the winner will be put on the cover of the game.

There are two ways to vote. First, you can head to the website and go through the process of voting. If you have an unlocked Twitter account, this process is much, much easier. All you have to do is tweet #NHL17Pavelski and your vote is counted.

If you do choose to use the NHL site (which is actually easier than I thought it would be) you can just select Pavelski and players in the other three matchups (I selected the three players less likely to win, to soften up the field), hit submit and then refresh the page. Rinse, repeat.

Winning the first round against the Kings' Anze Kopitar is vital from a pride standpoint, but after having to buy a game with the god damn Chicago Blackhawks on it last year I'd love to pay $60 for a game with Pavelski on the cover. I'll be getting out the vote on the Fear the Fin Twitter account in addition to spreading this around on Facebook.

I'll put up another post after Pavelski wins the first round so we can get going for round two. Let's make it our mission to get Pavelski on the cover.

Here are the dates:

Round 1: April 26th at 12:00 pm EST – May 2nd at 3:00 pm EST.

Round 2: May 3rd at 12:00 pm EST – May 9th at 3:00 pm EST.

Round 3: May 10th at 12:00 pm EST – May 16th at 3:00 pm EST.
