After an opening day of the World Cup of Hockey that saw Team USA fall to Team Europe and Team Canada rollover Team Czech Republic, we get a chance to see some of the less-heralded but exceptionally fun teams in the tournament.

Joonas Donskoi and Team Finland will get going against the intriguing Team North America after Team Russia opens its tournament against Team Sweden. We’ve got all the start times and TV information you need to follow along with the second day of group play.

Team Russia vs. Team Sweden, noon, ESPN

An underwhelming Russian team takes on a Swedish squad that will rely on its goaltending to find success in this tournament. Sweden certainly holds the edge defensively, but the forward matchups in this game should be very interesting. Plus, Alex Ovechkin, one of the most fun players in the league, plays his first game of the tournament. I’m down.

Team Finland vs. Team North America, 5 p.m., ESPN2

The nightcap of day two is the game of the weekend, in my opinion. Team North America has the ability to surprise some teams this tournament and their combination of speed and skill should be a blast to watch. Plus, Sharks fans get a chance to see Donskoi early. If you can only tune in for one game, this is the one to see.
