The Daily Chum: Logan Couture is the hero Canada needed

Or at least the one I needed.

Logan Couture doesn’t ever retweet the nice things I write about him. I’m desperately trying not to be a dick about that, so let’s focus on him having three points in the World Cup of Hockey, just one point off the lead in the tournament so far.

A bunch of nerds who aren’t as cool as Couture have four points but none of them play for the San Jose Sharks so they can take a suck of it IMO. Anywho, Couture scored one goal and two assists as Team Canada took first place in Group A with six points. They will face either North America or Russia in the semifinals of the tournament.

Anyway, Couture is tied for second in points so far and that’s partially because he’s played three games and partially because he’s better than the nerds that play for your favorite team. Unless your favorite team is the Sharks, in which case I... don’t really have much to add here.

Anyway, while Team USA is unapologetically terrible, you can still watch Joe Thornton, Marc-Edouard Vlasic, Brent Burns and Couture tear shit up during this tournament. I love Team USA, I guess, but not as much as I love the San Jose Sharks. So... go Canada and go Couture. Tear this shit up. Let’s watch his goal? Please? Good. Watch it. That’s all I’ve got for today.
