Sharks vs. Flames: Lines, gamethread and where to watch

No Dylan DeMelo as the Sharks look for an Alberta sweep.

NHL: Minnesota Wild at San Jose Sharks Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

Here’s what we know as the Sharks get ready to face off against the Calgary Flames at 6:30 p.m. PT in the ScotiaBank Saddledome: Not a whole lot. We know Dylan DeMelo will not play tonight after playing only four minutes against the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night, but we don’t know who will fill in for him nor do we know if Marc-Edouard Vlasic will be good to go nor do we know who’s starting in net for San Jose.

I do have some educated guesses, though. Sharks head coach Pete DeBoer will likely start Aaron Dell in net given a couple exhausting performances by goaltender Martin Jones and Mirco Mueller is more likely to fill in for DeMelo than debut Tim Heed against the Flames. DeBoer confirmed we won’t see DeMelo last night but didn’t give any more information on his injury nor on its severity.
