Sharks vs. Oilers Lines: Tomas Hertl to play center in return to lineup

He won’t ease back into lineup against Edmonton

NHL: Columbus Blue Jackets at San Jose Sharks Neville E. Guard-USA TODAY Sports

Tomas Hertl will play center tonight according to Friend of the Blog Kevin Kurz. So much for easing him back into the lineup. Both teams enter tonight’s matchup on a roll but expect both to have tired legs despite San Jose getting Hertl back in the lineup tonight.

Cam Talbot will likely start again for Edmonton tonight despite playing against Anaheim last night. Talbot is one of the only goalies in the league who gets worked harder than Jones. It would be nice to see the Sharks take advantage of what I think is a poor decision by Edmonton head coach Todd McLellan.

San Jose looked gassed on Tuesday, but the team got a day off yesterday while the Oilers played Anaheim. That should help the Sharks down the stretch, especially while dressing one of the deepest lineups of the season.
