The Pacific looks to defend its All-Star Game crown by taking on the Central in the first game against at 12:30 p.m. PT today. The winner of this game will take on the winner of the Atlantic and Metropolitan game which will follow the conclusion of this contest. The winner of these games is the champion of the event.

Much like last year, we’ll look to these games as a fun bout between four very skilled and competitive teams. None of these players are looking to check (forecheck and backcheck, amiright) but this format makes a good case to be the best of any all-star game in professional sports.

Martin Jones, Joe Pavelski and Brent Burns should all get some playing time; though I expect Mike Smith will get the start if the Skills Competition is any indicator. Regardless, we’ll have all the action for you both on Fear the Fin and on Twitter.
