Welcome to Fear the Fin

Here’s what you need to know now that you’ve found us.

Los Angeles Kings v San Jose Sharks

Welcome to Fear the Fin, a website dedicated to the San Jose Sharks and their exploits both on and off the ice in the National Hockey League. Here’s the kind of fresh #content you can expect from us:

Recaps!

Within 15-30 minutes of the final horn we’ll have words for you to read about the game that was. These usually have GIF (guh-iffs), highlights and words describing the action. Whether you want to catch up on a game you missed or talk about the action you just watched ... we’ve got you covered.

Analysis!

Whether it’s putting one play or player under the microscope or taking a peak at a trend taking the NHL by storm, we’ll talk about it. We apply both advanced stats and the eye test in equal measure to try to give you an inside look at what’s going on with Team Teal.

Player Interviews!

As a credentialed member of the San Jose Sharks media, we can get access to your favorite Sharks players. We’re at about half the San Jose home games and try to make it to as many practices as we can to get thoughts from players ranging from Joe Thornton to Martin Jones. The inside scoop? We’ve got it.

Podcasts!

Once a week Marcus White and managing editor Jacob Sundstrom break down what’s going on with the Sharks. You can subscribe on iTunes right now if you want to get a taste for what it’s all about. It’s fun, we promise.

Fanposts!

Got something to say you’re not seeing? Head over to the right hand column and scroll down to say it yourself. If we like what you’re saying, we’ll pin it to the front page. This is also a great place to show to us you deserve a spot on the Fear the Fin roster. Lots of current FTF writers started out writing Fanposts.

Much, much more

From contests, to meet and greets to hanging out in the comments we’re a community here at Fear the Fin. This is a fun place to hang out and we want it to be a place you can learn about hockey with people that are cool to be around. If there’s ever anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable, shoot us an email at fearthefin@gmail.com. We’d love to hear from you.
