If you love Danish forwards who are struggling to score, I have good news. If you love amazing defenders with beautiful dogs, I have bad news. Mikkel Boedker is back in the lineup tonight after head coach Pete DeBoer scratched the forward on Thursday night against the Wild while both Marc-Edouard Vlasic and David Schlemko remain on the shelf due to injury.
Tim Heed was recalled before the game but will not play, which means we will see Dylan DeMelo and Mirco Mueller reunited on the bottom pairing. That’s not news anyone wanted to hear today, but Vlasic appears to be nearing a recovery and I expect him to play in the Alberta back-to-back beginning on Tuesday.
I did a Facebook Live video right before game time. Check it:
We’ve got a poll for you to vote on, by the way. Frustrated with the Sharks’ power play? You’re not alone. Go vote for how you want the power-play to shape up over here.
Today’s Sharks lines are brought to you by Marcus White of Fear the Fin fame; Red Wings lines are courtesy of Friend of the Blog Kevin Kurz. You can follow along with us in the comments tonight or over on Twitter @FearTheFin. Totally your call, but I recommend doing both, just in case.
