Kings at Sharks: Lines, gamethread, and where to watch

New, comments

Neville E. Guard-USA TODAY Sports

It's never a good sign when the team you're about to play just beat the team you most recently lost to. The Los Angeles Kings are coming off a shut out against the Philadelphia Flyers. The Sharks, on the other hand, lost to those same Flyers 5-3 in the home opener on Wednesday.

No matter how bad it may look going in, the mission is always the same: Beat LA. Rivalry match-ups are always more fun and any good Sharks fan knows it's impossible to predict what will happen going into a game against the Kings.

The roster is the same, but lines have shifted some. Mikkel Boedker and Jannik Hansen will reunite, but this time on Logan Couture's second line, pushing Joonas Donskoi onto Tomas Hertl's wing. Kevin Labanc sits pretty on the top line with the Joes. As per usual against the Kings, Martin Jones is between the pipes.

The Kings are also starting a young New Yorker on their veteran top line, Alex Iafallo, who just made his NHL debut against the Flyers. Alec Martinez and Marian Gaborik remain out of the line up for the Kings due to injury. Jonathan Quick will start in net.
