Tonight's game will be interesting with some last minute adjustments to the Sharks' roster. Melker Karlsson and Mikkel Boedker are both out with injuries, Joonas Donskoi and Tim Heed are both on IR, and Barclay Goodrow will come back into the line up. Not an ideal start when facing off against one of the best teams in the league right now.
And yet, Tampa Bay has found themselves struggling as of late. This game could be a chance for them to bounce back and keep their dominant season going, or it could be part of an early season skid. That depends pretty heavily on the performances of Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov, who lead the league in offense early on, but have disappeared in the past couple of games.
The last time these teams met, Tampa Bay had one of their best performances this year, pulverizing the Sharks 5-1. Hopefully with a few wins under their belt right now, a series split from the Sharks isn't too much to ask.
