The Daily Chum: Re-ranking the Sharks top 25 under 25

New, comments

How have things changed 60 games into the season?

NHL: San Jose Sharks at Arizona Coyotes Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

Tomas Hertl clocked in at No. 1 when we last ranked the Sharks best players under the age of 25. I don’t expect that to change at this point, but there should be some movement after Kevin Labanc’s amazing rookie campaign and a season that has seen a fair number of first-time call-ups.

We’ve also seen one of our top 25 players, Matt Nieto, leave the system. So no time like the bye week to take stock of the system yet again, right? I’ve got another Ranker table set up below for your ranking pleasure. We won’t be doing a post on each player like we did during the offseason, so there’s no cutoff this time around. Rank to your heart’s content.

Feel free to drop your biggest (pleasant) surprise and your biggest disappointment on the list in the comments. Labanc is the obvious choice, but I’ve been very impressed with Danny O’Regan, as well. Happy ranking. Oh, and please let me know if I’ve missed anyone.
