The Sharks will be without Logan Couture as they host the New York Rangers for the only time during the regular season at 7:30 p.m. at SAP Center tonight. Marc-Edouard Vlasic, Chris Tierney and Melker Karlsson all skated on Monday, which bodes well for San Jose’s chances against the blue shirts on Tuesday evening.
San Jose will have to go without their second line center, which will make the lineup interesting as the team looks to snap a six-game losing streak. Patrick Marleau will be the second line center if Monday’s practice lines are any indication. Don’t rule out the unpexpected, though.
The Sharks go on a three-game road trip following this game. San Jose plays back-to-back games in Calgary before playing in Vancouver and then plays the rest of its contests at home to end its season. The Sharks only have six games left in their season and now sit in second place in the Pacific.
