Vegas Golden Knights roster set; Sharks lose David Schlemko in expansion draft

The long awaited roster is officially here.

After months of anticipation, we are finally getting our first look at the Vegas Golden Knighta. As part of the NHL Awards, the Golden Knights unveiled their picks from each team throughout the night. The complete picks can be seen below:

Sharks defenseman David Schlemko was taken by the Golden Knights. He played one season for the Sharks and recorded 18 points in 62 games this season.

Some notable standouts on the roster include Marc-Andre Fleury and James Neal. Fleury earned 3 Stanley Cups in Pittsburgh, while James Neal played a major role on the Predators team that made it to the Stanley Cup Final this year.

The Golden Knights’ roster is expected to become more clear in the next few days, following trades and the NHL Entry Draft. They will play their first ever game against the Dallas Stars on October 6th.
