After a World Cup of Hockey-induced hiatus last fall, the San Jose Sharks will hold their third "Fan Fest" in four years on September 24 at SAP Center, the team announced Monday. All proceeds will benefit the Sharks Foundation.

That night, the Sharks will host what they are calling the “first-ever Sharks ‘Legends’ game” at 5 P.M. that night, featuring Sharks alumni, coaches, and broadcasters. Evgeni Nabokov, Dan Boyle, Owen Nolan, Douglas Murray, both the Sharks and Barracuda coaching staffs, and NBC Sports California host Brodie Brazil are among the scheduled participants in the hour-long scrimmage.

The event will also feature:

  • Beer tasting at a 21+ tank tailgate from noon until 4 P.M. outside of SAP Center (separate ticket)
  • Autograph sessions
  • Q&A sessions
  • Photo opportunities at center ice and under the Shark head

Unlike previous years, the 2017 iteration of "Fan Fest" will occur in the middle of the preseason. San Jose will have played three preseason games prior this year's event, including one in Glendale the night before (September 23) against the Desert Dogs.

Tickets are currently on sale through the Sharks and SAP Center. General admission costs $10. Doors will open for general admission at 1 P.M., and parking will be complimentary for attendees. The full schedule of events and ticket information can be found at here.
