The San Jose Sharks have reduced their training camp numbers again, sending ten players down on Sunday morning.
Sasha Chmelevski, the 2017 sixth round draft pick, will be returned to the Ottawa 67s. The 18 year-old had an impressive showing, but will benefit from the additional development by returning to juniors.
Swiss winger Noah Rod will report back to Genève-Servett HC of the National League (formerly known as the “National League A”) per his contract. Drafted in the second round of the 2014 draft, the 21 year-old joined the Barracuda for two regular season games and five games of their Calder Cup run last season.
The rest of the players cut will be reporting to the San Jose Barracuda training camp, starting tomorrow morning. Here’s the full list of cut players:
Forwards: Rudolfs Balcers, Tim Clifton, Adam Helewka, John McCarthy
Defensemen: Julius Bergman, Nick DeSimone, Jacob Middleton
Goaltenders: Antoine Bibeau
The Sharks’ roster now sits at 32 players. View the updated list here.
