We’re inching closer to hockey season.
The Sharks officially released their preseason schedule this morning. The Sharks will play six games before the regular season begins, with three of those dates at SAP Center.
Preseason
DAY | DATE | OPPONENT | SITE | TIME (Pacific) |
---|---|---|---|---|
DAY | DATE | OPPONENT | SITE | TIME (Pacific) |
Tue. | Sept. 18 | Anaheim | SAP Center | 7:30 PM |

Thu. | Sept. 27 | Calgary | SAP Center | 7:30 PM |
Sun. | Sept. 30 | @Vegas | T-Mobile Arena | 5:00 PM |
It should not come as a surprise to see Anaheim and Vegas on this schedule, given that they’ve played both teams in the preseason last time around, but the Calgary Flames will join the fray this year.
The Sharks went 4-2 in their preseason affairs last season, sweeping the Golden Knights and taking one of two games from both the Ducks and the Arizona Coyotes. There was a four-way tie for first place in total points, with Barclay Goodrow, Tim Heed, Timo Meier and Chris Tierney all tallying four points.
As always, expect to see the stars like Logan Couture and Brent Burns matched with depth players like Tim Heed or Marcus Sorensen, in addition to some Barracuda players, like Jacob Middleton or Rudolphs Balcers, as the Sharks look to narrow down their opening night roster.
The final two games will be aired on 98.5 KFOX, but every other game will be available for audio streaming on the official Sharks website.
