Come rank the young guns!

Welcome to the 2018 San Jose Sharks Top 25 Under 25!

Every year, we take a look at San Jose’s young talent and ask the Fear the Fin community to help us rank the youth of the Sharks’ pipeline. Here’s last year’s rankings and recaps.

There are plenty of new names this year, so kick back and spend a day on Elite Prospects to learn about who is waiting to crack the Sharks’ roster, then vote for your favorite prospects. This year, prospects must be 24-years-old or younger by September 8, 2018 to be eligible for the top 25 ranking.

Here’s some basic guidelines as you vote:

  • Though you are able to submit as many players as you would like, we do ask that you submit exactly 25 players on your response. Responses with fewer than 25 players will not be counted, and responses that list more than 25 players will only have the top 25 players counted.
  • Users are limited to only one ballot, though you may reorder your ballot up until the ballots close. Any response determined to be spam in nature or obvious joke responses will be thrown out at our discretion.
  • Ballots are due by 11:59 p.m. PT on Sunday, August 5.
  • Once again, that link to vote is here.

After voting closes, we’ll look at the players that just missed the cut of the top 25, as well as those that aged out from last year’s list, before revealing the list starting from the bottom.

Meanwhile, Sharks prospects are preparing for their showcase tournament, the 2018 Vegas Rookie Faceoff, starting on September 8 at the City National Arena in Vegas. They will play against prospects from the Arizona Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche and Vegas Golden Knights over four day in a round-robin style tournament.
