[Open Thread] Game Four: San Jose Sharks at Chicago Blackhawks

@

Having had a couple of days to figure out what went wrong in their last game, the Sharks conclude their season-opening road trip tonight against the Blackhawks.
Word is that Ron Wilson is going to do some line experimentation tonight, moving Patrick Marleau back to center and reuniting him with Milan Michalek on the left and Steve Bernier on the right.  This line was a machine when first put together, but for whatever reason hasn’t been seen much.  Well, mostly because of Bernier disappearing last year to where he spent a stretch of time doing time at Worchester.  Anyway, it’ll be interesting to see what happens tonight with the trio.
Ryan Clowe will be moving up to take Marleau’s place at left wing, thus paring him with Joe Thornton at center and Jonathan Cheechoo at right wing.  Given Clowe’s lack of inhibition to mix it up plus having solid skills, this could be the start of something good.
As to the Blackhawks, in the spirit of speaking no ill about the dead nothing will be said about their late owner.  Which is about all there is to say about the team itself, really.
