Game Sixty-Three Wrapup: San Jose Sharks 4, Columbus Blue Jackets 2
When you think about it, this is the kind of game Los Tiburones are supposed to win. It's not that Columbus is void of talent; one look at Rick Nash says otherwise. That said, overall the Sharks are far and away better than the Blue Jackets. In this game, they played like it.
You can't measure the impact of a new player in one game, but given how Brian Campbell is a known quantity the question is how well did he fit in. Answer: quite nicely. Joe Thornton no doubt greatly appreciates having someone behind the blueline whose idea of making a play isn't throwing the puck in Thornton's general direction and looking surprised when that isn't enough. It's going to be exciting watching the synergy develop. In this game it was so strong even Patrick Marleau got an assist. Will wonders never cease.
