Nothing like keeping an audience riveted.
After playing their usual game against the Wild — frustrate them on the rare occasion they get in the Sharks end of the ice while breaking through their trap often enough to make things happen — Minnesota came back in the third and tied things up. The fans were in full voice and the team was energized… for ten seconds. Yes, there was a fortuitous bounce involved in Jonathan Cheechoo’s winning goal. But it counts all the same, and if you’re not in position to create and/or take advantage of fortuitous bounces they don’t count for anything at all.
Now, back to the danger zone otherwise known as home ice.
