Did you know Evgeni Nabokov has never lost to the Avalanche?
I probably shouldn't have said anything.
Anyway, tonight could get interesting. While Colorado is injury-ridden -- no Joe Sakic, no Paul Stasny, no Ryan Smith -- they still have Milan Hedjuk, who's made a career out of making life miserable for Los Tiburones de San José. Wonder if they'll dress Scott Parker to match up against Jody Shelley, although it doesn't appear Parker will be in the lineup tonight although Shelley will most likely be on the fourth line.
On a line through the sky back to Worchester once more is Devin Setoguchi. Douglas Murray is nursing a hip pointer (as opposed to the Tragically Hip) and is anticipated to be out for at least a week. Great time to have three games in four nights, eh? Anyway, since Kyle McLaren is still out, expect Alexei Semenov on the ice tonight. Hopefully this time out he can avoid being the human bumper pool... um, bumper.
According to David Pollack, expect the line combos to be:
Michalek | Thornton | Cheechoo |
Plihal | Marleau | Bernier |
Rissmiller | Mitchell | Grier |
Shelley | Pavelski | Roenick |
Okay, let's drop the puck.
