A Brief Note

As most of you are aware, ElvisVF101 published a Fanpost yesterday that detailed a conversation he had with Doug Wilson on a flight home from Vancouver. It was a great read, and Elvis’ act was anything but malicious– he was sharing information and insight that all of us had never seen before. It truly was a once in a lifetime experience.

Obviously there is a reason for this specific note from me; as you are now frantically scrambling to find that Fanpost, you will realize that it is no longer on Fear The Fin.

A representative from the Sharks Media Relations Department and I exchanged emails last night concerning the post. It was concluded that GM Doug Wilson likely felt he was speaking off the record to a fan, and did not expect the information to be posted on the internet considering it involved names and details of specific players, both within the organization and outside of it.

I should mention that he was extremely cordial, and did not attempt to paint Elvis, the blog, or it’s readers in a negative light. It was simply asked to be taken down, and no threats of legal repercussions were made.

Thanks again to Elvis for sharing his thoughts, as well as being completely understanding when I spoke to him on the phone. He is obviously a good guy, meant no harm, and was simply sharing an awesome story with all of us at Fear The Fin.

Go Sharks.
