Canadiens at Sharks game 59: Lines, game thread and how to watch

The Montreal Canadiens make their first and only regular season visit to SAP Center today, bringing with them another of the league’s young corps. San Jose is the first stop on Montreal’s California road trip. The Canadiens are coming off a big 6-2 win at home over the Washington Capitals.

Montreal’s top scorer is Nick Suzuki, who has 69 points in 59 games. Cole Caufield leads the team with 35 goals.

San Jose Sharks lines tonight

For the Sharks, Yaroslav Askarov is expected to start in the net tonight. We’ll also see Adam Gaudette return to the lineup, with Ryan Reaves sitting.

The Bay Area News Group’s Curtis Pashelka reports the following lines out of morning skate:

Montreal Canadiens lines vs. San Jose Sharks

As for the Canadiens, look for Jakub Dobes to start in the net, according to NHL.com. Patrik Laine is still injured, though he is skating and is considered a potential trade target, albeit a gamble for some teams.

Montreal fans can watch the game on TSN2, RDS or listen on TSN 690 and 98.5 FM.
