2016 World Cup of Hockey: Joonas Donskoi named to Team Finland for World Cup

Fear the Finn, indeed.

Sharks rookie winger Joonas Donskoi has been selected to represent Finland at this fall's World Cup of Hockey.

The World Cup will be Donskoi's second tournament appearance with the senior men's national team, after playing in last spring's World Championships. He finished third on the team with 8 points in 8 games, as Finland finished sixth. Donskoi has represented Finland five times at the U17, U18, and U20 levels.

Donskoi has impressed in his first season in North America, scoring 27 points in 57 games, and showcasing some filthy mitts in the shootout, to boot.
