@FeartheFinGame back for 2018-19 season

Sometime in the distant future, when you’re talking with your friends about the fateful 2018-19 off-season, there’s no question what will immediately pop into your head, as the news changed your entire outlook on the Sharks.

After missing out on John Tavares, Ilya Kovalchuk and Max Pacioretty, something happened that flipped the switch in your brain from “meh” to “oh my god this changes everything.”

I am of course talking about my return to Fear the Fin. I’m back, baby.

There was also that Karlsson thing, whatever, similar impact TBH IMO.

Over these past four or so years since Plank and I left FTF, I’ve still been a devoted Sharks fan and avid follower of the team. Many of you long-timers keep up with me on Twitter (@dak_ralter), and while I’ve tried to branch out to talk about my other interests (Star Wars, Star Wars and Star Wars), the Sharks still dominate a large majority of my brain space.

Now a father of two and busy with work, I don’t have the time or the desire to take an active role on the site. I love where Sie and the staff have taken FTF and I’d just be reducing the overall quality of content here. I do, however, tweet tons of commentary during the games like I used to from the @FearTheFinGame account, and since I remembered our old password (it’s hilarious and I wish I could tell you what it is) I asked Sie if I could resurrect it for 2018-19.

They graciously agreed to let me relive my old glory days, so we are giving this a shot. Expect on-the-fly analysis, attempts at humor, knee jerk reactions and the occasional McGnyan cat. I can’t promise that I’ll be around for every game, and I definitely won’t be impartial.

Thank you so much Sie for the opportunity — I hope this works and I appreciate returning as a part (albeit small) of the FTF family.
