Get ready San Jose Sharks fans because #TheFutureIsTeal is about to get tealer? More teal? Cyan? The point is, Michael Misa is about to debut. We had to wait a few games into the season, but it’s finally happening. The Sharks have told Misa that he’ll be suiting up for his first game tonight.
This will be the first time we’ll see Misa and Sam Dickinson in the lineup together. Both rookies are expected to play tonight. There will also be some shakeups both on the front and back ends of the lineup. While the Sharks have been scoring, the team defense has been a bit suspect. San Jose is hoping to lock some of that down tonight.
As for the visiting Carolina Hurricanes, they got a bit less exciting once Brent Burns left town for the Colorado Avalanche. We’ll see him in November.
The Hurricanes added one of the big free agents on the market this summer, signing Nikolaj Ehlers away from the Winnipeg Jets. Young Logan Stankoven also signed an extension, so there’s a lot of firepower in the lineup.
The team also added K’Andre Miller via trade, bringing youth to the blueline. The Hurricanes have a lot of offensive weapons; it’s no wonder the team is 2-0-0 early in the season.
San Jose Sharks lines tonight
It sounds like Alex Nedeljkovic will get the start in the net tonight for the Sharks. Given that neither goaltender has “stolen” the starting job to date. San Jose Hockey Now’s Sheng Peng shared the following lines via Twitter this morning. As a result, it looks like Collin Graf is the odd man out.
