Joe Pavelski, Joel Ward put the San Jose Sharks on top in game seven
The power play did what it does and Wardo used a nifty move to put the Sharks up 2-0.
Joe Pavelski scored a goal we've seen him score for years to put the Sharks up 1-0 in game seven against the Nashville Predators on Thursday night. No, it wasn't a deflection, and it wasn't even set up by Joe Thornton (though Jumbo did get a secondary assist). Patrick Marleau gets the primary assist on this beauty of a goal, which you can see below.
Joel Ward followed with an absolutely filthy tally. After gaining the blue line he slid the puck forehand-backhand-forehand and then five-hole to beat Pekka Rinne. We'll add the video for that goal as soon as it becomes available.
The Sharks have been all over the Predators in the early going and lead 2-0. Shots were 11-2 San Jose at one point midway through the opening stanza and absolutely deserve to be up in this win-or-go-home contest.
