Joe Pavelski tops Connor McDavid to advance to NHL 17 Cover Vote final

Vladimir Tarasenko is the only obstacle left for Captain America.

We've got a couple of upsets. Joe Pavelski took down Connor McDavid and Vladimir Tarasenko beat Jamie Benn to set up a potential Western Conference Final matchup in the final round of the EA Sports NHL 17 Cover Vote.

The final round began at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning and goes until noon on May 16. The winner of the contest will not be revealed until the NHL Awards in Las Vegas on June 22. Voting remains the same in the final round; you can either go straight to the NHL's website or you can tweet using the hashtag #NHL17Pavelski.

Twitter votes count for double on Thursdays, so if you're uneasy about losing all your followers from hashtag overuse you can save your Tweets for Thursday.

If you don't already, I recommend following Pavelski on Twitter. He's been giving away all kinds of good stuff over the past week and I expect that to ramp up as we approach the final. I'll retweet some of the best giveaways on the Fear the Fin Twitter.
