After taking a hit in the Kings’ zone, Joe Thornton struggled to stand up and hobbled his way to the Sharks dressing room late in the first period. It appears to be a skate issue, though the trainer headed onto the ice to help him off and not the equipment manager.
UPDATE: Thornton is back in the game now, for better or for worse.
