Kings at Sharks (game 11): Lines, game thread and how to watch

Fresh off of winning the team’s first road game, the San Jose Sharks return to SAP Center to try and get the first home win of the season. The Sharks host the Los Angeles Kings tonight.

The Kings have two wins in a row, the first one coming against the Sharks on Oct. 24. LA now has a record of 5-2-2 and is second in the Pacific Division behind the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Sharks have placed Ty Dellandrea on injured reserve and recalled Ethan Cardwell. Will Smith should also be back in the lineup tonight after missing last night’s game due to a “development day.”

San Jose Sharks lines tonight

With Will Smith drawing back in and Cardwell getting the call-up, expect to see a different lineup than last night. Givani Smith only played 3:42 last night, according to Natural Stat Trick, so we’re going to guess that he’ll be out of the lineup. Klim Kostin is also likliest to sit. He played just 5:34 last night.

With all that in mind, here’s what we think the lines will look like tonight.

Forwards
William Eklund – Mikael Granlund – Tyler Toffoli
Danil Gushchin – Alex Wennberg – Fabian Zetterlund
Luke Kunin – Will Smith – Barclay Goodrow
Ethan Cardwell – Nico Sturm – Carl Grundstrom

Defense
Jake Walman – Cody Ceci
Mario Ferraro – Jan Rutta
Henry Thrun – Jack Thompson

Goaltenders
Vitek Vanecek
Mackenzie Blackwood

How to watch Los Angeles Kings at San Jose Sharks tonight

Make a note, the game starts at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET tonight, a bit earlier than the normal start times at SAP Center. One of the reasons for the early start is that this is a nationally televised game. That’s right, you won’t get your Randy and Drew fix today, you’ll have to settle for the national announcers.

The game will air on ESPN.

If you’re just dying for your hometown announcers, you can always sync the Sharks and SAP Center app with the national broadcast.

As always, be sure to come back here at puck drop to discuss what’s happening at the game and around the league with the rest of the Fear the Fin community.
