Roenick out with shoulder injury; Lukas Kaspar recalled to San Jose

Kaspar_mediumThe San Jose Sharks announced today that they have recalled Czech left wing Lukas Kaspar from Worcester. He’s played in 21 games for Worcester, posting 13 points, including 4 goals. He began the season in San Jose, playing in 6 games, and scoring the game-winning goal in the Sharks’ 1-0 victory over Los Angeles on October 12 (in his only s.o.g. of the night). Speaking of shots, he has just 6 in 61 shifts for San Jose this season, as well as 4 penalty minutes.

[UPDATE]: Kaspar replaces Jeremy Roenick, who injured (read – dislocated) his shoulder in the Sharks’ last game against Anaheim (thanks, Festerling). J.R. will need more time to recuperate, despite returning to the ice on Thursday, according to the Sharks’ website.
