Marleau and Burns swordfight, Niemi rests a cactus on his head in Sharks holiday video

The worst part of last season’s lockout erasing the 2012-13 NHL schedule through late January was that we were robbed of the Sharks‘ annual holiday-themed video. Well, it’s back after a one-year hiatus and while this edition might not live up to the high standard set by 2010’s A capella holiday album infomercial, who could be disappointed by something that involves Patrick Marleau and Brent Burns fighting with toy swords? Here’s the video, courtesy sjsharks.com:

Marleau’s endearingly awkward swinging of a foam sword is the clear highlight but Antti Niemi walking around with a cactus on his head, Tomas Hertl sitting at the kid’s table and the (hopefully) final appearance of Logan Couture’s Hitlerstache are worth watching for too. The only downside is that neither Joe Thornton nor his ventriloquist dummy makes an appearance but, given recent events, it’s understandable if the Sharks were sensitive to having Jumbo parade around a doll named Slappy. Happy holidays from all of us here at Fear The Fin.
