Montreal Canadiens claim Mike Brown off waivers
Let freedom ring.
The Sharks waived Mike Brown, likely thinking he would end up joining the Barracuda after going untouched. Or that's what I was thinking, anyway. But the Montreal Canadiens have apparently snatched Brown off waivers, forever removing him as an option to general manager Doug Wilson and head coach Peter DeBoer.
MTL claims Mike Brown. And NJ claims Warsofsky.

That will remove his cap hit, such as it is, from the Sharks, but it also means other fourth liners are allowed to have a bad game or two before being swapped out for the Mike Brown Experience. This pickup comes as a welcome surprise, as one of Wilson's worst signings has finally come off the books.

Well. Best of luck to Mike Brown — the Montreal Canadiens, meh, not so much.
