NHL Network to re-broadcast 2019 All-Star Weekend tonight

Without any live hockey to speak of, NHL Network has been diving into the archives and tonight, the channel with be re-broadcasting the 2019 All-Star Weekend, hosted by the Sharks at SAP Center in San Jose.

As the host city, the Sharks sent three representatives to that year’s All-Star festivities. Then-captain Joe Pavelski and defenders Brent Burns and Erik Karlsson were all part of a Pacific Division team that lost in the first round of the 3-on-3 tournament to the Central Division All-Stars. The Metropolitan Division were the eventual winners of the tournament.

Other memorable moments from the weekend include Auston Matthews’ tribute to Patrick Marleau and watching current Sharks broadcaster and Olympic gold medal winner Kendall Coyne Schofield compete in the fastest skater competition.
