Sharks at Devils: Lines, gamethread, and where to watch

A new-look Sharks D-corps will take the ice tonight at Prudential Center, in the Sharks’ first game without Brenden Dillon. With Erik Karlsson out for the season and Radim Simek still clearly recovering from previous injuries, the defense could look a little wobbly tonight — oh, and Martin Jones is starting. Is Team Teal tanking?

The Devils are one of only five teams with a worse record than the Sharks, but have pulled out a handful of impressive wins since the All-Star break, including consecutive shutouts over the Philadelphia Flyers and Los Angeles Kings (shutting out the Kings is admittedly less impressive, I know). And it’s the trade deadline, so who knows — maybe some drama happens, like the Sharks acquiring Kyle Palmieri mid-game. Neither of these teams are making playoffs, let’s just enjoy the ride, folks.
