Sharks forward Logan Couture named NHL’s 3rd star of the week

Logan Couture was announced as the third star of the week by the NHL this morning. The Sharks forward had a monster three games, tallying five goals and two assists for a seven point week.

Couture also carried the Sharks to a pair of wins against the Montreal Canadiens and the New Jersey Devils.

Couture posted his third career four-point game after registering two goals and two assists in a huge 5-2 win against the Canadiens on Tuesday. Couture then added his second career hat trick in a 5-3 loss against the New York Islanders on Saturday.

The 28-year-old Guelph, Ontario native is off to an impressive start for the 2017-2018 NHL season, leading the Sharks in points with six goals and two assists in seven games.

Couture will look to keep up the hot pace tonight as the Sharks visit Madison Square Garden in a battle against the struggling New York Rangers.
