Sharks cut six players from training camp roster

On the first day of training camp, San Jose Sharks General Manager Doug Wilson has already made up his mind on the first batch of players that will not be suiting up for either the Sharks or their AHL-affiliated San Jose Barracuda to begin the season.

Wilson announced today that Mitchell Brewer, Zachary Emond, Zach Gallant, Jake Gricius, Jake Lee and Hudson Wilson were all returned to their junior clubs. The Sharks’ training camp roster now stands at 56 players.

Of the six cuts, Emond and Gallant are the only players contracted to the Sharks. The Sharks will hold the rights to the other four players until opening night.

The full and current training camp roster can be found here.
