SAP Center will host walk-up Coronavirus testing this week

With sporting events on hiatus due to the pandemic, the Santa Clara County Public Health Department is putting the SAP Center to use.

Residents will be able to be tested for COVID-19 at the arena this week, beginning Tuesday. Medical workers will be on-hand from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m Tuesday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Appointments, and health insurance aren’t necessary for testing. It is completely free for all residents in the area. People who do get tested will receive free San Jose Sharks or San Jose Baracudda memorabilia.

The Sharks season is officially over, with the team not being a part of the NHL’s return to play plans. We still don’t know how the league will proceed with the start of the 2020-21 season, but hopefully fans will be able to get back into the Shark Tank when next year kicks off.
