Bulls to host Stockton at Shark Tank on Dec. 17

The San Francisco Bulls, ECHL affiliate of the Sharks, will play a home game at the venue of their parent club on Monday, December 17th. The Bulls will host Northern California rival Stockton Thunder at 7:30pm in the first professional hockey game to take place on HP Pavilion ice since the Sharks’ 2-1 loss in Game 4 of their playoff series against the St. Louis Blues on April 19th of this year.

San Francisco is currently 8-12-1, good for third in the ECHL’s Pacific Division and sixth in its nine-team Western Conference. Sharks winger Ryane Clowe has been serving as one of the team’s assistant coaches for nearly a month and the Bulls also feature Sharks prospect Marek Viedensky, San Jose’s seventh round pick in the 2009 draft, who has scored four goals and ten points in his first six games in San Francisco.

It isn’t Sharks hockey but it might just be the closest thing to that the HP Pavilion will see for a while. Tickets will be available free of charge to the general public starting at 10am on December 12th. Sharks and Bulls season ticket holders will reportedly be informed shortly on how to obtain their free tickets.
