Sharks at Flyers game 31: Lines, game thread and how to watch

The San Jose Sharks are looking to string together some wins and that can start with a strong show in Philadelphia. The Sharks’ road trip continues this afternoon with a visit to the Philadelphia Flyers. This is the first and only visit to the City of Brotherly Love for the Sharks this season (barring a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals, of course). The Sharks are fresh off of Sunday’s 4-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes, while the Flyers are coming off a 3-2 Sunday loss to the Colorado Avalanche.

The Flyers are having a good season and are hoping that this is the one where the team makes it into playoff contention. Philly is 15-9-3, just outside of the Eastern Conference wild card picture as of this afternoon.

Philly’s top scorer is Trevor Zegras. The former Anaheim Duck has 26 points in 27 games. He and Tyson Foerster are tied for the team lead with 10 goals apiece. Young Matvei Michkov is having an up and down season after coming into camp out of shape. He’s working through some NHL growing pains. He has 16 points this season.

San Jose Sharks lines today

According to San Jose Hockey Now’s Sheng Peng, Timothy Liljegren is a game time decision. If he can’t go, Shakir Mukhamadullin will play. Alex Nedeljkovic is in net because Yaroslav Askarov is ill.

As always, come back here at game time to talk about what’s happening on the ice and around the league. Those Quinn Hughes rumors aren’t going away. Plus, with so many teams in the “playoff” mix, some trades may be happening soon.
